“8th Connecticut Pvt. Oliver Case was killed at the Battle of Antietam on Sept. 17, 1862. Case was from Simsbury, Conn. Months after the battle, his father Job traveled to the battlefield to retrieve his son's body for re-burial in Simsbury, Conn. Oliver Case's final resting place is in Simsbury (Conn.)
